On Wednesday the 26th of August Healthy Harold came to our school.Murringo pubic school came. First we made masks we used all different material. All of us did a great job and the masks looked fantastic. Then we had recess. After recess 5,6s played Monteagle cricket we split in two teams. In the first and second round not many runs were scored. Both team played well but there was only winner and it was not my team. When the game was over we had lunch. There was a canteen that sold hamburgers, poppas, and ice creams. The year 5&6 had to eat their lunch quickly because we had healthy Harold on after lunch. In Healthy Harold we learnt about cigarettes and how they affect your body. First, we went inside a smoker’s body and watched some videos on smoking. After we talked about smoking we saw Harold and then the year 5s had to leave and the year 6s got told a secret. When they came out Murringo went home and we finished our masks then we went home. -Written by Joel and Sean. Yesterday Healthy Harold came to our school for a visit. We learnt about healthy food and unhealthy food. If there is any sharp stuff like broken glass or a needle or anything else, be careful, it can hurt you. We learnt to no, go, tell. Murringo also came to our school to see Healthy Harold. For lunch, we had a burger and a popper. On the burger it had lettuce, tomatoe, beetroot, cheese and sauce. We also did art and played team games outside. -By Victoria.
On Wednesday 27th August Healthy Harold came to our school. Murringo also came to see him. First, threes and fours had sport. We played a game of Monteagle Cricket. After recess we went into the van to see Healthy Harold. We talked about exercise and some people got to read Harold's diary (after asking him of course). We learnt that exercise is good for the body and that you should have at least one hour of exercise a day to keep fit. We also interviewed Mr Excercise. We talked about foods that are good for us. We also talked about how to avoid bullies. Then we had lunch. For lunch we had hamburgers and an ice-cream. After lunch we had art, we made masks. There were cats, dogs, pigs, lions and robots. I chose a pig. We could decorate with pastels, textas, glitter, pipe cleaners and feathers. When the five and sixes had finished with Healthy Harold we were allowed to get our purchases. You could choose from stationary packs, bouncy balls, tattoos, watches and much more. I had lots of fun.
